CHICAGO (April 15, 2024) – MLS NEXT Pro and Chicago Fire FC today announced that Chicago Fire FC II’s home match against Carolina Core FC has been rescheduled. The match will now be played on Monday, April 22, at 6:00 p.m. CT and will be broadcast live on MLS Season Pass.
Chicago Fire II is coming off a whirlwind 5-5 tie against New York Red Bulls II on Sunday in Montclair, N.J. After going down by four goals in the first half, Harold Osorio scored a hat trick and captain David Poreba added a brace of his own to help Chicago complete a five-goal comeback to earn a point on the road.
Next up for Chicago Fire II is a Third Round match in the 2024 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup in which the MLS NEXT Pro squad will face USL Championship side Indy Eleven. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CT on Wednesday, April 17, at SeatGeek Stadium. Admission for the match will be $10 for the general public and $5 for Chicago Fire Season Ticket Members. Chicago advanced to the Third Round of the 2024 edition of the tournament with a 2-0 win against USL League One side Forward Madison FC. Poreba scored his second goal of the tournament, and 2024 MLS SuperDraft pick Jason Shokalook tallied his first goal for Fire II in the win over Madison.
