Chicago Fire FC Director of Football and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter has named the following Starting XI looking to jump up the Eastern Conference standings:
- Four changes have been made to the Starting XI that traveled to New Jersey to take on the New York Red Bulls last Saturday night.
- Defender Jack Elliott returns to the XI after a one-match absence, wearing the captain’s armband and lining up next to Carlos Terán, who starts in his second consecutive match. Andrew Gutman remains a fixture at left back, starting his eight match of the campaign.
- Omari Glasgow replaces Leonardo Barroso (Lower Body) at right back. This marks the Guyanese wingback’s seventh appearance of 2025, and second start of the season after making his first at FC Dallas on March 8.
- Brian Gutiérrez returns to the XI following time away due to injury and national time duty. The midfielder will share the center of the pitch with fellow Homegrown Sergio Oregel, Jr., making his eighth start in as many games in 2025. Mauricio Pineda also replaces Kellyn Acosta in the midfielder.
- Coming off his first goal with the Fire at Sports Illustrated Stadium, winger Jonathan Bamba starts in his eighth match of the season. He will join Hugo Cuypers and Philip Zinckernagel in the front three for the seventh time this year.
- Beside Barroso, defenders Sam Rogers (Lower Body), Jonathan Dean (Torso) and Chase Gasper (Lower Body); and midfielders David Poreba (Lower Body) and Chris Mueller (Not Due to Injury) will not be available for selection tonight.
- Goalkeeper Jeff Gal; defenders Omar González, Justin Reynolds and Christopher Cupps; midfielders Rominigue Kouamé, Maren Haile-Selassie, Kellyn Acosta and Dje D’Avilla; and forward Tom Barlow will be available off the bench for tonight’s match.
