#2 Harry Shipp's first goal on June 7 vs. Seattle led for most of the day but California's own Quincy Amarikwa saw a late surge to pip young Harrison with his first seeded half volley on August 23 at Toronto FC. With the win, Quincy has two entries in the Aldi Goal of the Year semifinals which begin in haste Wednesday morning on Chicago-Fire.com.
TUESDAY'S MATCHUP
We pick our final Aldi Goal of the Year semifinalist Tuesday in the C.J. Bracket where #1 seeded Patrick Nyarko's wonder cross May 10 at New York faces #2 Jeff Larentowicz's pin point header from July 19 vs. Philadelphia. The winner will advance to face Amarikwa's half volley in Thursday's second semifinal.
