On Tuesday, new Chicago Fire Young Designated Player Jairo Torres got his first taste of Chicago through a trio of events in and around the city.

Having undergone a medical evaluation following his arrival in Chicago on Monday, Torres was cleared to take part in his first training session with Head Coach Ezra Hendrickson and his new teammates. Given the rainy spring weather, Tuesday's session was held inside the dome at Bridgeview's SeatGeek Stadium.

After training was over, Torres was shuttled downtown to the Club's main office in the Loop for a live-streamed introductory press conference alongside Hendrickson and Technical Director Sebastian Pelzer. While taking questions from local and national media, Torres addressed the reception he received from his new coaches and teammates, the abilities he can bring to the squad, and the ambitions he has for his time in MLS.

With the press conference completed, the Guadalajara native headed to his final stop of the day - a special welcome event located at the Vault Gallerie in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood. While there, Torres got his first opportunity to meet local Fire fans in an intimate, off-the-field setting. The evening's festivities included photos, autographs, drinks, and even a special, brand new Torres-themed Fire shirt giveaway.

Now, Torres will shift his focus toward fitting into Hendrickson's starting XI. While he is expected to be available for this Saturday's match at Atlanta United, fans hoping to watch the team's newest star suit up in person for the first time are encouraged to get tickets for the Fire's meeting with FC Cincinnati on May 14.

Be there for Torres' Soldier Field debut!
