The battle for the Brimstone Cup returns as Chicago Fire FC travels to North Texas to face off against FC Dallas. First kick at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT. The match will be broadcast live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, and transmitted locally in English on wlsam.com and in Spanish on Que Buena 105.1 FM via the Uforia App.
Ahead of his third match at the helm, and first of a three-game road trip, Fire Director of Football & Head Coach Gregg Berhalter has named the following starting XI to take on FC Dallas:
- Two changes have been made to the Starting XI that took the field for the first time in 2025 at Soldier Field.
- Brian Gutiérrez returns to the lineup one week after missing a match due to suspension. The Homegrown midfielder will look to add to his season-opening brace that earned him a spot on MLS Team of the Matchday for Matchday 1. He will line up next to Sergio Oregel, Jr. and Fire captain Kellyn Acosta in their third consecutive starts of the season.
- Omari Glasgow will make the first start of his MLS career on the right wing in place of the injured Philip Zinckernagel. The Guyanese winger has appeared in both games of 2025 coming in as a substitute for Zinckernagel. He will line up opposite left winger Jonathan Bamba on the front line.
- Glasgow and Zinckernagel will support Hugo Cuypers, who starts for the third time in 2025. Cuypers got on the board twice last Saturday against D.C. United, earning him a spot on the MLS Team of the Matchday bench for Matchday 2.
- Joining Cuypers on last week’s MLS Team of the Matchday as a starter was goalkeeper Chris Brady, who returns to the lineup for his third start of 2025. The Naperville, Ill. native made five saves against the potent D.C. United attack, and will look to record his first clean sheet of the season against FC Dallas.
- Making his second appearance and start in Major League Soccer is Sam Rogers, who was named a starter at center back minutes before last week’s home opener. The Washington native will line up to the right of Jack Elliott, who also recorded his first assist of the year on Cuypers’ first goal of the season against D.C.
- Jonathan Dean and Andrew Gutman remain the starting fullbacks on the right and left, respectively, having each played the full 180 minutes of the season so far.
- Beside Zinckernagel, defenders Carlos Terán (Lower Body) and Chase Gasper (Lower Body); and midfielders Dylan Borso (Lower Body), Maren Haile-Selassie (Lower Body), Rominigue Kouamé (Lower Body), David Poreba (Lower Body), and Chris Mueller (Not Due to Injury) will be unavailable for selection for tonight’s match.
- Available off the bench will be goalkeeper Jeff Gal; defenders Leonardo Barroso, Omar González, Justin Reynolds and Christopher Cupps; midfielders Mauricio Pineda, Harold Osorio and Sam Williams; and forward Tom Barlow.
