The Chicago Fire Soccer Academy U-17 and U-15 squads have landed in Toronto for the 2017 Generation adidas Cup Central Regional, the opening stages of the annual Academy showcase run by Major League Soccer.
Results from this weekend and a second weekend of regional matches slated for February 2018 will yield two advancing teams from each of the three regions, who'll advance to the final round in Frisco, Texas to face both the best of MLS Academies as well as top international clubs.
Chicago is joined in the Toronto-based regional by Academy sides representing Houston Dynamo, FC Dallas, Columbus Crew SC, Colorado Rapids and host Toronto FC.
