Major League Soccer today announced the complete details for the 2019 Generation adidas Cup, including the participating international clubs and the full schedule of matches set to unfold throughout the tournament.
Clubs from 14 different countries will convene at the Toyota Soccer Center at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas from April 13-20 in a tournament featuring elite professional club academies from North America, Asia, Europe and South America.
The Chicago Fire Academy Under-17 team will participate in Group A of the U-17 Premier Division, alongside their academy counterparts from Atlanta United, D.C. United, the San Jose Earthquakes and Liga MX side Club Tijuana. Their group stage schedule is as follows:
- Saturday, April 13 vs. Orlando City SC - 9:00 a.m. CT
- Sunday, April 14 vs. Houston Dynamo - 9:00 a.m. CT
- Sunday, April 14 vs. FC Midtylland - 4:00 p.m. CT
- Monday, April 1 vs. Portland Timbers - 9:00 a.m. CT
- Tuesday, April 17 vs. Ulsan Hyundai - 10:45 a.m. CT
The Generation adidas Cup has developed into the premier youth tournament in which elite MLS academy players test their talents against international competition.
