CHICAGO (Aug. 30, 2016) – Chicago Fire Academy product Djordje Mihailovic has been selected by U.S. Under-19 Men’s National Team head coach Brad Friedel to the 20-man roster for the 2016 Stevan-Vilotic Cele tournament in Subotica, Serbia from Sept. 1-5.
The Fire midfielder and the U.S. face Serbia on Sept. 1 at City Stadium in Subotica, before taking on France on Sept. 2 at Senta Stadium. The U-19s will then play a placement match on Sept. 5 to determine their place in the final tournament standings.
Hailing from Lemont, Ill., Mihailovic most recently featured for the U-19s in the 2016 COTIF Tournament in Valencia, Spain last month and scored the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Mauritania on July 28.
