ABOUT THE $2K CUPS

The $2K Cup is a Men's tournament that is open to any team. Hosted at the Endeavor Health Fire Pitch, all teams will be guaranteed to play a minimum of three games (maximum of six). The Fire Pitch also is home to Heineken Pub97 where teams can rest, recharge, and celebrate throughout the tournament. All games will use USSF-certified referees. For the champion team? Claim the $2,000 Championship Prize!

Registration:
Teams will register electronically and have the option to pay via ACH or Credit Card. Teams will also be able to pay the registration amount in full at the time of checkout - OR - Deposit + Payment ($100 deposit at the time of registration).

Refund Policy:
We give a full refund when it is requested at least two weeks prior to the tournament. Within two weeks we will offer a credit toward a future CFRS event. No refunds or credits will be offered if the request is made within one week of the tournament date.

Prize:The championship prize delivery method will be as an ACH payment. This prize is subject to any applicable taxes.

Join us for the annual Fan Cup, where local club supporters come together to celebrate soccer and community! On June 14th, fans will gather at the Fire Pitch to showcase their passion and camaraderie in a friendly competition. ABOUT THE PLAY PROUD CUP

We are excited to invite you to our Play Proud Cup on June 28th, celebrating the LGBTQIA+ soccer community!

This round-robin style tournament is a fantastic way to embrace and support inclusivity in soccer while having fun on the field. Each team will compete in a guaranteed three games for a registration fee of $500.

Chicago Fire FC’s Play Proud initiatives are an inclusive, physically, and psychologically safe space, created for LGBTQIA+ people, friends, and allies to compete and build community. Whether you are a soccer enthusiast or never kicked a ball, these programs are a place where everyone can be their authentic selves and enjoy the beautiful game.

ABOUT THE CHICAGO WORLD CUP

We are thrilled to invite you to participate in our 4th Annual Chicago World Cup on August 30th at the Fire Pitch!

Over the past few years, we’ve celebrated diverse cultures and thrilling matches, featuring teams like France vs. Mexico and Germany vs. the US. Now it’s your chance to represent your country as we come together for an unforgettable day of soccer, food, music, and camaraderie!

ABOUT THE $10K CUP

This league-style tournament is a fantastic way to challenge yourself against the best teams in the Midwest all whilst playing for $10k. Each team will compete in a guaranteed three games for a registration fee of $1,350.

What better way to welcome in the fall months than walking away with $10,000? So get the best players you know together, dust off those old cleats, and head to the Fire Pitch.

TOURNAMENT RULES

All team captains will receive a Tournament Handbook prior to the tournament via email.

All games will be officiated by USSF-certified referees. All ISAB Laws of the Game apply with the following exceptions/modifications.

  • Games are 28 minutes in duration with no halftime.
  • If Coed outdoors, 8v8 (7+Goalkeeper) Teams must always have a minimum of two female players on the field and cannot have more than six male players on the field.
  • If Men’s outdoors, 8v8 (7+Goalkeeper)
  • If Coed indoors, 7v7 (6+Goalkeeper) Teams must always have a minimum of two female players on the field and cannot have more than six male players on the field.
  • If Men’s indoors, 7v7 (6+Goalkeeper)
  • No offsides enforced with 8v8 or 7v7 games.
  • Rolling substitutes that must enter/exit the side of the field where their team is located.
  • Kick-ins to return ball from out of play over the touchlines.
  • All free kicks are direct.
  • You can score from a kick-in, goal kick, corner, etc.
  • Five (5) yards must be given on all free kicks and kick-ins.
  • If an indirect foul occurs in the box, a direct free kick will be given at top of the box.
  • Slide tackling is not permitted (Coed and Men’s).
  • Sliding when an opponent is not in the vicinity of the ball is permitted.
    • Example, sliding to keep the ball in play with no one around near the touchline.
  • Penalties taken from the penalty spot.
  • Goal kicks given when the ball is put out of play by the opponent across the goal line.
  • Goalkeepers are permitted to volley and half-volley.
  • Goalkeepers can slide in the box leading with their feet or hands, permitted they are attempting to play the ball – this is at the discretion of the referee.
  • Teams must have at least five players on the field for 8v8 game to start, and four players on the field for 7v7 games.
  • If, after 5 minutes, a team does not have the minimum number of players on the field the game is considered a forfeit.
  • All forfeits are scored at 3-0.

PLAYOFF TIE BREAKER

  • If teams remain tied at the end of regulation play during the knockout rounds, they will follow these tiebreaker procedures:
  • Two-Minute Golden Goal Period
  • Three-Player Penalty Shootout
    • Teams will select three players to kick in an alternating format.
    • If still tied after the three, teams will continue alternating kickers until a team who scores goes unanswered by their opponent.
    • Teams who go past the original three kickers must use every player before the original three kickers may kick again.

EQUIPMENT

  • Shin guards are mandatory – players who do not have them will not be permitted to play.
  • Primary team jersey/colors.
  • Alternate team jersey/colors (in case of a kit clash) optional
  • Pinnies will be provided upon request from CFRS staff.
  • Goalkeepers must wear a different color from outfield players and referee.
  • Appropriate soccer attire and footwear are required, no metal cleats are permitted.
  • Players are not permitted to play with:
    • Glasses (sports goggles are permitted)
    • Watches and Smart Watches
    • Jewelry
    • Cleats with metal studs
    • Hard Casts
    • Ballcaps
    • Any other equipment or item(s) deemed dangerous by the referee.

FIRE PITCH & PUB97

Heineken Pub97 is a full-service bar and restaurant – a perfect place to refuel between games and celebrate after your games conclude! The Pub has both indoor and outdoor seating. However, no alcoholic beverages are permitted on or near the fields.

Fire Pitch Store is located after entering the front doors of the building beyond the front desk. The store sells snacks, beverages, Chicago Fire FC merchandise, as well as medical tape, shin guards, pre-wrap, and other items for game day, in case you’ve forgotten anything.

Credit card payments and Apple Pay are accepted at the front desk.
