Chicago Fire FC II Goalkeeper Patrick Los
On a pair of one-on-one saves in the match…“I thought I had to come out. I think I made the hard decision to come out and made myself big and shut down the angles. I made the save, which helped us get the two points tonight, so I’m really proud and happy for what I did today. So I think they were some good saves today.”
On making his first professional start…“For sure, I was a little bit nervous coming into it. But it’s also a very exciting moment for me, I was very proud. I was very honored to also get some minutes in my first start, because last time I came in, I came in at halftime and played. But this was my first official start, so this is a huge honor for me and I was very proud to come in and play. I gave it my all and hopefully the team saw it and the coaches saw it. Hopefully, this is only the first game of the season and we have many more still ahead this season. Many more wins to get and we’re going to have a good season.”
On a strong performance by the defense…
“I think the backline was really strong with Diego [Konincks], Jaylen [Shannon], Billy [Hency] and [Lamonth Rochester]. I think we had a very strong backline. Me, Diego and Jaylen had some big stops in the second half as well. I think we all were very calm on the ball; we were very composed and calm and we were all very strong, and that helped us win the game ultimately, so I was really proud of our defense.”
