James An, Assistant Athletic Trainer
An joined the Fire in 2023 after serving as Director of Athletic Training for Fan Controlled Sports and Entertainment. An has been serving USA Water Ski Show Team as a Sports Medicine Director to support the national team to compete internationally since 2017. With over 15 years of experience, An’s diverse background comes with different licenses/ certifications including Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Strength and Conditioning.
An has been working with athletes of all ages and levels in different environments including Florida Youth Soccer Association, ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Orlando Waves ABA basketball, Florida Tropics Major League Indoor Soccer, Birmingham Iron Alliance of American Football, and Fan Controlled Football in Atlanta.
An has B.S in Athletic Training and Physical Therapy. An has a passion for injury prevention and performance enhancement which lead him to publish his own research article, ‘The Effect of Kinesio Tape on Lower Extremity Functional Movement Screen Scores’ on the International Journal of Exercise Science.
