2017 (CHICAGO FIRE): Had three goals and eight assists in 30 games, 26 of which were starts. The Dutch attacker’s eight assists were a career best across all previous seasons as a professional. De Leeuw’s season was cut short due to a ruptured left ACL, an injury suffered vs. NYC on 9/30. U.S. Open Cup: Started both of the Fire’s two matches, a 1-0 win at St. Louis FC and a PK-shootout loss at FC Cincinnati on 6/29.

2016 (CHICAGO FIRE): Had seven goals and three assists in 17 games after joining the club midseason. He closed the season with one goal in the Fire’s final three games. He also scored in three-consecutive games with strikes on 8/27 at DC, 9/3 vs. PHI, and 9/10 vs. TOR. His first career game with the club came on 7/9 at TOR and his first career start came on 7/13 vs. SKC. De Leeuw scored his first career MLS goal on 7/13 vs. SKC. U.S. Open Cup: Played in two games for the Fire, scoring in the quarterfinals on 7/20 vs. FTL and notching an assist on the Fire’s loan goal in the semifinals on 8/9 at NE.

2014-15 (FC Groningen): Scored 17 goals in 28 league matches. Tallied a hat trick in a 5-4 win over NAC Breda on May 17. Scored seven goals in five matches as Groningen captured the KNVP Cup. Appeared in one UEFA Europa League match.

2013-14 (FC Groningen): Scored nine league goals in 28 appearances including a hat trick in Groningen’s 5-2 win over NEC on Dec. 22.

2012-13 (FC Groningen): Transferred to Groningen in May 2012. Scored 11 goals in 32 league matches, and added one goal in three KNVP Cup matches. Tallied a hat trick in a 3-2 win over Roda JC on Sept. 30.

2011-12 (De Graafschap): Made the move up to the Eredivisie when he joined De Graafschap. Appeared in 33 league matches, scoring ten goals. Added a goal in two KNVB Cup matches.

2010-11 (SC Veendam): Scored 13 goals in 31 Ereste Divisie matches.

2009-10 (SC Veendam): Began his professional career with Dutch Ereste Divisie side SC Veendam in 2009 and scored 25 goals in 36 league matches. Scored his first career hat trick against Oss on March 22.
