The Chicago Fire advanced to a record-setting 12th U.S. Open Cup semifinal appearance Wednesday night thanks to a 3-0 defeat of the Fort Lauderdale Strikers at Toyota Park.
Now, the Men In Red will be attempting to reach a seventh tournament final when they face the New England Revolution on Tuesday, August 9. The tournament's other semifinal pits the LA Galaxy against FC Dallas, who advanced Wednesday with wins over Seattle Sounders FC and Houston Dynamo, respectively.
This morning, all four clubs still in contention will learn the host sites for their upcoming semifinal contests when U.S. Soccer hosts a draw at 10 a.m. CT, which will stream live in the YouTube player above. The draw also will determine hosting scenarios for the championship match, which will be played on a September date to be determined.
