#1 Harry Shipp's second goal on June 7 vs. Seattle had little trouble dispatching sentimental favorite #2 Florent Sinama-Pongolle's game winning head from October 24 vs. Houston to clinch the Kubik Bracket and a place in Wednesday's first semifinal.
MONDAY'S MATCHUP
We begin the final week of the Aldi Goal of the Year Tournament with another Shipp vs. Amarikwa matchup. Last Thursday, Quincy's #4 seeded individual effort from September 20 vs. D.C. United took down Harry's third seeded hat trick clincher May 10 at New York.
Today, it's Amarikwa's #1 seeded half volley from August 23 at Toronto FC taking on Shipp's first goal from June 7 vs. Seattle, which coincidentally enough, Quincy assisted on. With both players having an entry in Wednesday's first semifinal, the winner of this matchup could face themselves in the 2014 Aldi Goal of the Year Final.
