Ahead of this afternoon's kickoff against Toronto FC at BMO Field, Chicago Fire head coach has released his Starting XI and bench, presented by AT&T.
Read up on today's squad ahead of kickoff at 2 p.m. CT:
- Defender Johan Kappelhof gets the start and makes his 100th regular season appearance in MLS regular season play, after notching his 100th appearance for the Club across all competitions last September.
- Midfielder Mo Adams returns to the starting lineup following a Man of the Match performance in last week's 1-0 win against the New York Red Bulls, his 2019 debut.
- Jeremiah Gutjahr will slot into the left back position for the second consecutive match after making his professional debut last Saturday.
- Midfielder NicolĂĄs GaitĂĄn made his Chicago Fire debut as a second half substitution last weekend against the Red Bulls, and will again look to contribute from the bench against Toronto today.
- Djordje MihailoviÄ returns to the Starting XI in central midfield after entering for Nemanja NikoliÄ as an 80th minute substitution of last weekend's win.
- Bastian Schweinsteiger makes his 60th Fire appearance and will anchor the backline from central defense.
- Midfielder PrzemysĆaw Frankowski and forward Fabian Herbers joined defenders Raheem Edwards, Jorge Corrales and Andre Reynolds II as unavailable for today's match on the prematch injury report.
