The Chicago Fire reported for the first day of 2017 preseason preparation Monday, convening at The PrivateBank Fire Pitch in Chicago for media day and administrative activities. Camp begins in earnest Tuesday with the first official training session of the new season.
The current squad consists of 21 signed players, a group which is joined in camp by five unsigned 2017 MLS SuperDraft draftees, as well as four additional camp invitees: trialists Drew Beckie and Boyd Okwuonu, and Chicago Fire Academy’s Djordje Mihailovic and Mihajlo Miskovic.
