The Fire avenged an earlier loss to expansion side Atlanta United FC on Saturday, securing a 2-0 victory at Toyota Park. Luis Solignac scored off of a pass through the box from David Accam in the 29th minute, while Nemanja Nikolic doubled the score with a penalty kick in the 70th minute after an Atlanta hand ball in the box.
