In the second of three straight matches on the road, the Chicago Fire are set for a Sunday morning kickoff in Canada when they take on the Montreal Impact at 11:30 a.m. CT (ESPN+). With head coach Veljko PaunoviÄ serving a red card suspension for today's match, coach Marko MitroviÄ has unveiled the Starting XI presented by AT&T for today's kickoff, detailed below:
- Today's starting lineup features three changes from Wednesday's 1-0 defeat at NYCFC. Defenders Marcelo and Jeremiah Gutjahr and midfielder Mo Adams have been swapped for defenders Jorge Corrales, Johan Kappelhof, and midfielder Aleksandar Katai.
- Katai earns his sixth start of the season after being sidelined with a knee injury during the Fire's midweek trip to NYCFC.
- Kappelhof slots back into the starting XI after missing Wednesday's match in New York City with an illness.
- Campos gets a second consecutive start on the backline after being previously unused as a sub in the four matches prior.
- Corrales makes his first start since the Club's March 9 home opener against Orlando City SC after returning from injury as a second half substitution on Wednesday.
- Midfielder PrzemysĆaw Frankowski is again in the matchday 18 after returning from a groin injury with a second half cameo on Wednesday night.
