Two members of the Men In Red are inching closer to being in the Starting XI when the 2017 MLS All-Stars face European Champions Real Madrid on August 2 at Chicago's Soldier Field.

Both forward Nemanja Nikolic and midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger are leading the charge in the Fan XI vote for the star-studded lineup. Nikolic has a league-leading 13 goals for the Fire, spearheading the Golden Boot race and earning him just recognition from MLS observers everywhere. Nikolic ranks first among All-Star nominated forwards, while Schweinsteiger -- who has played in every league match for the Men In Red since his arrival in March -- is currently second in voting for his position.
You can vote once per day for every eligible member of the Men In Red, including midfielders Dax McCarty, David Accam and Juninho as well as defenders Brandon Vincent and Johan Kappelhof, by clicking here.
The online fan ballot consists of 176 players (eight per team) who were nominated by media members. The “Fan XI” designation next to a player’s name below means he is on the provisional matchday roster. The Fan XI presented by Target consists of one goalkeeper, three defenders, four midfielders, and three forwards. All voting ends on June 30 at midnight PT.

MLS All-Star head coach, Veljko Paunovic (Chicago Fire), will select the gameday roster from the pool of eligible players determined by the media as well as the 2017 MLS All-Star Game fan XI presented by Target and MLS Commissioner Don Garber’s two selections.
