Chicago Fire midfielder Dax McCarty has earned a place on the latest MLS Team of the Week for his efforts contributing to a 1-0 win over Eastern Conference leaders Columbus Crew SC on Saturday afternoon.
McCarty set up the lone goal of the match in the 22nd minute, playing a perfectly weighted through ball from near the center stripe to an on-running Nemanja Nikolic, who coolly put the Men In Red in the lead. Outside of the assist, McCarty's all-around performance also earned him the fan vote as the Krakus Man of the Match.
This is McCarty's second TOTW nod of the young season, as both he and defender Johan Kappelhof were previously among the squad following their performances in the team's 2-0 home opener victory over Real Salt Lake four weeks ago.
