BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. -- Fire forward Maicon Santos was the most intriguing name on the team’s Athletico Injury Report released Tuesday.
Coming off a two-day weekend break, the Brazilian striker is listed as Questionable after missed both days of training this week with a hyperextension of his left knee.
Fire head coach Frank Klopas said Monday the team would evaluate Santos on a day-to-day basis ahead of Saturday’s match vs. Philadelphia.
Defender Hunter Jumper is also listed as Questionable with a right groin strain.
In other news, defender Arne Friedrich joined the team for training Tuesday, doing some running and light work with the ball off to the side before going in early for continued treatment.
Friedrich remains listed as Out with hip tightness along with Steven Kinney (right quad strain).
