Chicago looks to increase its two-game unbeaten streak as it hosts Western Conference rival, LA Galaxy, at Soldier Field. Beginning at 7:30 p.m. CT, the match will be broadcast globally on MLS Season Pass and transmitted locally on wlsam.com (English) and WRTO 1200 AM (Spanish).

Fire forward Hugo Cuypers tallied his team-leading fourth goal of the season in the midweek contest against Orlando City SC. Cuypers had also assisted Kellyn Acosta’s goal in the previous match against D.C. United, registering goal contributions in back-to-back games for the second time this season.

The Galaxy comes to the Windy City after a 3-1 win against FC Dallas on Wednesday, with two goals from Dejan Joveljic and one from Riqui Puig at Dignity Health Sports Park.

  • Head Coach Frank Klopas made two changes to the lineup that faced Orlando City SC on Wednesday at Soldier Field.
  • Midfielder Fabian Herbers returns to the XI, and will wear the captain’s armband from the outset against the LA Galaxy.
  • Forward Hugo Cuypers starts his 17th game of 2024, making him the only player to start every game for the Fire in the 2024 regular season.
  • Goalkeeper Chris Brady, defender Rafael Czichos and midfielder Kellyn Acosta start for the 15th time in the regular season. Brady has only missed one game this season due to international duty. Czichos will feature in his 75th match for Fire, making him the third German player to reach that mark after Bastian Schweinsteiger and Fabian Herbers.
  • Defender Jonathan Dean starts back-to-back matches for the first time this season, and for the fourth time overall in 2024.
  • Defender Allan Arigoni returns to the starting lineup for the 15th time this season after serving a one-game suspension for yellow card accumulation.
  • Defender Carlos Terán starts his sixth straight game of the regular season and his seventh overall. With 72 appearances, Terán is one match away from tying Wilman Conde for the most all-time appearances by a Colombian-born player in Fire history.
  • Defender/midfielder Mauricio Pineda starts for the third straight time for the Men in Red. With 98 career starts, Pineda is two away from becoming the first Homegrown player to reach 100 starts for the Fire.
  • Homegrown midfielder Brian Gutiérrez starts for the 13th time in 2024, participating in his 104th game for his hometown Club.
  • Midfielder Maren Haile-Selassie makes his ninth start of 2024 for the Fire, and his 11 start overall of the regular season. Haile-Selassie registered the second assist on Hugo Cuypers’ goal against Orlando, increasing his season tally to three.
  • Defenders Chase Gasper (leg), Andrew Gutman (leg) and Tobias Salquist (leg); and midfielders Federico Navarro (leg) and Xherdan Shaqiri (international duty) are unavailable for today’s match.
  • Available off the bench for Coach Klopas are goalkeeper Spencer Richey; defenders Wyatt Omsberg and Arnaud Souquet; midfielders Javier Casas Jr., Gastón Giménez and Chris Mueller; and forwards Tom Barlow and Georgios Koutsias.
