Lineup Notes | Chicago Fire FC at Inter Miami CF

Chicago plays a second straight game on the road, this time traveling South to face Inter Miami CF for the first time in the 2024 MLS regular season. Beginning at 6:30 p.m. CT, the match will be broadcast globally on MLS Season Pass and transmitted locally on 890 WLS-AM (English) and WRTO 1200 AM (Spanish).

Head Coach Frank Klopas and his squad are looking for a second straight road victory, and a fifth victory against Miami. Currently holding a 4-1-1 record against Inter Miami, the last three encounters between the two sides have resulted in Fire victories. Most recently, the Fire defeated Miami 4-1 in front of a record crowd of 62,124 at Soldier Field, with two goals apiece from Xherdan Shaqiri and Maren Haile-Selassie.

Miami is also in search of a second straight victory after defeating Toronto FC at home last Wednesday in their midweek match.

  • Hugo Cuypers starts his 25th game of the season, making him the only player to start every game for the Fire in 2024. Cuypers leads the team with 9 goals and two assists, including 10 goal contributions (six goals, two assists) in the Club’s last 10 games.
  • Fabian Herbers starts his 20th game of the 2024 MLS regular season for the Fire, and his 101st start overall for the Men in Red.
  • Maren Haile-Selassie starts for the ninth straight time this season, and the 16th overall in 2024.
  • Rafael Czichos starts for the sixth straight match, and the 22nd overall in 2024.
  • Chris Brady starts for the 24th time in the 2024 MLS regular season, having missed only one game due to international duty. The Naperville native earned his fourth shutout of the season in the team’s midweek match against FC Cincinnati while tying his career-high nine saves.
  • Wyatt Omsberg starts his fifth straight match of the regular season, having started all of the games he has played in 2024 for Chicago.
  • Allan Arigoni makes his 22nd start of the regular season.
  • Arnaud Souquet starts his sixth straight match, and his 12th overall of the 2024 MLS regular season.
  • Defenders Chase Gasper (leg), Andrew Gutman (leg), and Carlos Terán (leg); and midfielders Federico Navarro (leg) and Xherdan Shaqiri (not due to injury) are unavailable for today’s match.
