After being crowned champion of the fourth FIFA Global Series North American qualifying tournament back in early April, Chicago Fire eMLS player Guillermo TreviƱo (a.k.a. Kid M3mito) now sets his sights on the North American FIFA Global Series Playoffs set to take place this weekend.
As one of the 16 North American players to qualify on Xbox, M3mito will take part in the tournament's Swiss Stage on Saturday, June 5 and Sunday, June 6. At the moment, M3mito ranks No. 1 in the United States and fifth overall in North America. The top 16 North American qualifiers on Playstation will additionally compete in this stage of the tournament.
While there won't be a stream available, fans can keep up with the action in real time by following Kid M3mito on twitter for results and updates.
Following this weekend, a live playoff event will then be held for the top eight remaining competitors on June 18-20 which will broadcast live on Twitch. The top two finishers will advance to the FIFAe World Cup in London on Aug. 6-8, with a chance to claim global recognition and a $250,000 prize.
