A hearth is the fireplace at the center of a home, where families gather and where visitors are welcomed and invited to sit down by the fire.
Throughout 2019, the Chicago Fire Foundation will be inviting some very special guests and groups into section 101 to enjoy a warm welcome at our home games. As a dedicated section for honoring friends from the broader community, The Hearth will be reserved for organizations and individuals who are working to make Chicagoland a better place to live.
The Chicago Fire Foundation was the first of its kind in MLS and continues to be a leader in the field. Since its inception, the Foundation has given more than $1.8 million to supporting disadvantaged youth in the region.
Since 2013, the Foundation’s own programming has directly served our friends and neighbors in the community with soccer-specific initiatives. The P.L.A.Y.S. program in particular, has provided support, mentoring and opportunities for young people to learn through the game, and in 2018 it won the Community Award at the Leaders Sports Awards in London.
