Kickoff of the biggest soccer event on U.S. soil since the 1994 FIFA World Cup is on the horizon!
On Friday, June 3, the U.S. Men's National Team faces Colombia in the opening game of Copa America Centenario, the landmark 16-team tournament taking place in 10 U.S. cities and featuring many of the international game's top teams and players. To kick off the tournament in style, the Chicago Fire Soccer Club has announced plans for an indoor/outdoor watch party at The PrivateBank Fire Pitch, the new 125,000-square foot soccer center located at 3626 N Talman Ave. on Chicago's North Side.
Here's what fans can expect from Chicago's premier Copa America watch party experience:
- Pregame festivities hosted by Chicago radio personality J Niice beginning at 7 p.m.
- Outdoor viewing on 16'-by-9' high-definition LED screen
- Indoor viewing on 15 large-screen TVs with state-of-the-art sound system in Heineken Pub97, the restaurant and pub on site at The PrivateBank Fire Pitch
- Food and drink available for purchase
- Raffle prizes, including tickets to Copa America matches in Chicago and Fire tickets and jerseys
- Want to watch outdoors? Bring a blanket to watch from the turf, sit in a lawn chair, or stand and cheer!
- Appearances by Chicago Fire and Chicago Red Stars players as well as Sparky
- Outside food and beverage is not permitted
- Restrooms are located inside the facility just past the reception desk. Additional portable restrooms will be available on site.
- Area parking lots and street parking are very limited and all fans are encouraged to utilize public transportation. Both the CTA #77 and #152 bus lines drop off at the corner of Addison and Talman. Parking is available in the locations highlighted below and is available on a first-come first-served basis. PLEASE NOTE the lots where parking is NOT permitted.
