The U.S. men begin play in Group D on Tuesday night against Guyana at 9 p.m. CT from Allianz Field in St. Paul, MN. Newcomers Guyana will be playing in the first Gold Cup match in the nation's history after qualifying for the tournament via the Concacaf Nations League. Group D additionally includes Trinidad and Tobago and Panama, who kickoff against one another beforehand at 6:30 p.m. CT.
The 2019 Gold Cup represents Mihailović's first inclusion in a major tournament with the U.S. senior side. The 20-year-old has three caps to his name after debuting for the U.S. in January, scoring his first full international goal in a 3-0 win over Panama. He and the U.S. will look to reclaim the Gold Cup trophy after Fire teammate Dax McCarty was part of the tournament-winning side in its 2017 edition.
