Wednesdayâs match marks the second meeting between the Fire (2-5-1, 7 points) and FC Cincinnati (2-4-2, 8 points) this season. Both teams just met in the Fireâs 2020 home opener on Aug. 25, with Chicago defeating the second-year club 3-0 in its first game back at Soldier Field in 15 years.
In the three games played against Cincinnati since their inaugural season in 2019, the Fire have tallied a 1-1-1 record, and are unbeaten in two straight. Cincinnati enters Tuesdayâs match coming off a 0-0 draw with rival Columbus Crew SC at Nippert Stadium on Saturday.
