After being called in to international duty last week, Chicago Fire midfielder Aleksandar Katai and his Serbia side are set to resume their qualifying campaign toward UEFA EURO 2020 against Portugal on Saturday.
The two nations met once already in UEFA EURO 2020 qualifying on March 25 and battled to a 1-1 draw at Lisbon's Estadio da Luz. Fans can watch the return leg live on ESPN+ when it kicks off at 1:45 p.m. CT Saturday afternoon from Red Star Stadium in Belgrade, Serbia.
With four goals and six assists for the Fire in 25 appearances this season, Katai will hope to make his eighth showing for his national side on Saturday. The 28-year-old last featured for Serbia on June 10, when he picked up a late assist as a substitute in a 4-1 EURO 2020 Qualifier win against Lithuania.
Serbia currently sit in third place in qualifying Group B with four points from a 1-1-1 record so far. Alongside the likes of Real Madrid's Luka Jović, Ajax's Dušan Tadić, and Manchester United's Nemanja Matic, Katai and co. will look to claim three points against Juventus' Cristiano Ronaldo, Atletico Madrid's Joao Felix and fourth-place Portugal.
