Within a span of a week last December and January, Manchester United's Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Arsenal's Olivier Giroud each submitted sublime scorpion-kick goals as their entries for 2016-17 Premier League Goal of the Year honors.
Well, Fire forward Luis Solignac took a page from their book to perhaps claim U.S. Open Cup Goal of the Year, somehow delivering a scorpion-kick strike of his own for the game's only goal as the Fire bounced Saint Louis FC from the historic tournament Wednesday night.
