Gilberto, Alvarez combine to Receive MLS Goal of the Week nomination

The Chicago Fire looked pleased to be back at home Saturday against the Houston Dynamo, striking in the game's third minute and riding that goal to a 1-0 victory at Toyota Park.

The goal came courtesy of a pinpoint, no-look delivery by Brazilian striker Gilberto, leading Arturo Alvarez into a confrontation in the penalty area with defender DaMarcus Beasley and goalkeeper Tyler Deric. Alvarez delivered the winning touch, notching his first Fire goal in the process and sending his hometown club to defeat.
