Chicago Fire midfielder Przemysław Frankowski played a key role in Poland's 2-0 victory over North Macedonia in UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying on Sunday, scoring his first goal for the national team after entering as a substitution.

In his ninth appearance for his country, Frankowski entered in the 73rd minute for Hull City's Kamil Grosicki with the score level at 0-0. Just moments later, Frankowski made a supporting run into the North Macedonian 18-yard box as Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski pulled down a long pass from midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak. Lewandowski's touch around his defender rolled into Frankowski's path, and the 24-year-old coolly put his first Poland finish through the legs of North Macedonia goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski.

With the win, Poland have guaranteed themselves a place in next summer's Euro tournament. They lead qualifying Group G with 19 points after eight matches, three clear of second-place Austria. They'll next travel to face Israel at Teddy Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 16.
