The 2020 eMLS season is off and running after 25 players from 25 clubs collided in Philadelphia last week for the League Series One competition.
Enrique Espinoza, better known by his gamer tag BITW7, represented Chicago Fire FC at the event, finishing the tournament with a 3-2-6 record. Espinoza's best results came in a 1-1 draw against eventual winner Gordon Thornsberry from FC Cincinnati and a 3-1 victory vs. Atlanta United's Paulo Neto, who came in sixth place with an 8-1-3 record. You can view the full standings here.
Next up on the eMLS calendar is League Series Two, which Portland will host February 14-15. There, Espinoza, also a Chicago Fire Juniors City youth club coach, will have a chance to book his ticket to the eMLS Cup for the second consecutive year. To do so he'll need to finish in the top 11 of the combined standings, or win the 12th and final spot via a last chance tournament.
