Fire rookie Diego Camposwas forced into an early exit from Chicago's Saturday night road match at Real Salt Lake, sustaining what has initially been tabbed a left knee injury in the 30th minute.
The injury occurred as Campos entered a challenge against RSL's Joao Plata.
A second-round MLS SuperDraft pick out of Clemson University, Campos has proven a versatile asset for head coach Veljko Paunovic in 2018, appearing in 21 games with 11 starts and contributing as an attacking winger and midfielder while also being deployed on several occasions at right back.
Campos was helped off the field and received some brief words of support and encouragement from Paunovic as he made his way to the stadium tunnel.
