In one of the closest votes of the 2013 Aldi Goal of the Year tournament, Daniel Paladini's "Statue of Liberty Play" free kick (June 8 vs. Portland) just edged Jalil Anibaba's curler (October 12 at FC Dallas) 51-49% to take the crown.
