CHICAGO (Aug. 28, 2017) – The Chicago Fire Soccer Club announced Monday that defender Christian Dean has been diagnosed with a left base of the fifth metatarsal fracture. Dean is scheduled to have surgery on Friday, Sept. 1. The procedure will be performed by Dr. Simon Lee at Midwest Orthopaedic at Rush.
Dean suffered the injury in the first half of the Fire’s match against Minnesota United FC on Aug. 26. His estimated recovery time is two to three months.
