CHICAGO (Aug. 12, 2016) – The Chicago Fire Soccer Club will host the Sixth Annual Art of Futbol, benefiting the Chicago Fire Foundation, on Wednesday, September 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Ignite Glass Studios (401 N Armour St., Chicago, IL 60642).
The soccer-inspired art exhibition will feature talented local artists and their original work depicting “The Beautiful Game.”
Tickets to the charity event are on sale by clicking here. Admission is $25, or $35 for a package that also includes a premier match ticket to a Fire home game on September 3 against the Philadelphia Union or September 16 against D.C. United.
The deadline for art submissions is Friday, August 26. All submissions must be original work. The Fire will accept traditional and non-traditional artwork and media, including drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, mixed media, and poetry. To submit work, artists can email up to three (3) JPEG files to artoffutbol@chicago-fire.com along with the artists’ name, phone number, birthdate, piece title and medium.
Artists whose work is selected for the showcase will be recognized at the Fire’s match on September 16, and will have an opportunity to sell their pieces at Art of Futbol. A panel of judges, as well as the audience at the event, will select one grand-prize winner.
