Stage 1 of the 2017 MLS Re-Entry Draft was held on Friday afternoon, with the Chicago Fire electing to pass on making a selection at the 14th position.
Two players were taken in the first stage, as former New York Red Bull Mike Grella was chosen by Colorado at pick three, and ex-Atlanta defender Tyrone Mears was selected by Minnesota at pick four.
Stage 2 of the Re-Entry Draft will now take place Dec. 21 at 1 p.m. CT.
