CHICAGO—The Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) is hosting a special COVID-19 vaccination event for Polish and Bulgarian Chicagoans on Saturday, June 12. Chicago Fire FC midfielder Stanislav Ivanov, who is Bulgarian, will be at the event, and those who get vaccinated will receive free tickets to an upcoming Chicago Fire game.
Polish and Bulgarian translators will be available at the event, which is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Copernicus Center, 5216 W. Lawrence Ave.
Both Pfizer and J & J vaccine will be available and anyone age 12 and older is eligible for vaccination. A parent or guardian must accompany any minor under age 18, and unvaccinated parents and guardians will be encouraged to receive a vaccine as well. Walk-ins are welcome at these events—no pre-registration required.
