CHICAGO (Nov. 10, 2022) - Chicago Fire FC today announced that Chicago Fire FC II midfielder Harold Osorio has been called into national team duty for the El Salvador Men’s National Team during the upcoming FIFA international window.
Osorio is set to participate in a training camp ahead of an international friendly against Nicaragua at Estadio Nacional de Fútbol in Antiguo Cuscatlán, El Salvador on Nov. 16.
Osorio, 19, will be making his second appearance in camp as a member of the El Salvador Men’s National Team. He recorded his first appearance as a member of the senior team on Aug 21, 2021 when he represented El Salvador in an international friendly against Costa Rica at Dignity Health Sports Park in Los Angeles, Calif.
Most recently, he had served as the captain for their U-20 Youth National Team that competed in the 2022 Concacaf U-20 Men’s Championship. In his last appearance, he led El Salvador out of the group stage following victories against Guatemala and Aruba and a draw against Panama. However, they would fall to Panama in the Round of 16.
The speedy midfielder joined Chicago Fire FC II on Aug. 10, when he was signed to an MLS NEXT Pro contract through the 2024 season, where he has a club option in 2025. Acquired via transfer from Alianza Fútbol Club, Osorio has yet to make his debut with Chicago Fire FC II.
