CHICAGO(March 4, 2021) – Chicago Fire FC today announced that defender Miguel Navarro has received his U.S. Green Card, granting him permanent resident status in the United States. With permanent resident status, Navarro will no longer occupy an international slot on the Fire’s roster.
Navarro, 22, originally joined the Fire on Jan. 27, 2020, and made 19 appearances (10 starts) in his debut season. Additionally, the defender earned his first call up to the Venezuela National Team in 2020 after featuring regularly at the youth levels for his home country.
Chicago currently has 29 players under contract for the 2021 season. Below is the Fire’s current 2021 roster.
