CHICAGO (Dec. 20, 2023) – Chicago Fire FC and Major League Soccer today announced the Club’s 34-game schedule for the 2024 MLS regular season.
Chicago’s 2024 regular season, driven by Carvana, will open on the road against the Philadelphia Union at 6:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, Feb. 24, at Subaru Park in Chester, Pa. The following weekend, the Fire will host 2023 MLS Supporters Shield winners FC Cincinnati on March 2 at Soldier Field. Scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. CT, the match against Cincinnati will mark the earliest home opener in Chicago Fire history, occurring two days prior to the Club’s 2023 opener.
Score tickets to three of the Fire’s most anticipated 2024 matches with the Hat Trick Pack, featuring Chicago’s home opener versus FC Cincinnati on Saturday, March 2, as well as home matches versus the LA Galaxy on Saturday, June 1 and Inter Miami on Saturday, Aug. 31. Overall, the Fire’s 2024 regular season home schedule features a total of 17 matches, including 14 matches on Saturday and three Wednesday matches. Chicago will host the highest number of Fire matches at home in the month of May, taking on the New England Revolution (May 4), Charlotte FC (May 15), Columbus Crew (May 18) and Orlando City SC (May 29). The Club will have a three-game homestand twice during the regular season, hosting Real Salt Lake (April 20), Atlanta United FC (April 27) and New England (May 4) in the first half of the season, then hosting Inter Miami CF (Aug. 31), D.C. United (Sept. 7) and the New York Red Bulls (Sept. 14).
Chicago will also have two three-game road stretches in 2024, traveling north to face Toronto FC (June 15), then heading south to face Orlando City SC (June 22) before traveling to the Pacific Northwest to face Seattle Sounders (June 29). Later in the season, the Fire will travel to face FC Cincinnati (July 17), followed by a trip to face Inter Miami CF (July 20) before finishing the road stretch against New York City FC (Aug. 24).
After the global soccer community’s eyes turned to Leagues Cup this past summer, the World Cup-style club competition featuring all LIGA MX and Major League Soccer teams, is set to return for its 2024 edition. Kicking off Friday, July 26 with the tournament final on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2024, the official Concacaf tournament will maintain its three berths to Concacaf Champions Cup, with the Leagues Cup champion qualifying directly to the Round of 16.
