CHICAGO (April 19, 2014) – The Chicago Fire (0-1-6, six points) played the New England Revolution (2-3-2, eight points) to a 1-1 draw Saturday afternoon at Toyota Park. Forward Quincy Amarikwa scored his team-leading fourth goal of the season in the 16th minute before the visitors equalized on a 31st minute penalty kick. The Fire finished the match down a man after Amarikwa was shown a red card in the 73rd minute, but the Men in Red held on to earn the point.
The Fire take a week off from MLS action but have two reserve games against USL-PRO sides on the docket when they host the Rochester Rhinos on the Toyota Park Stadium Field on Monday, April 21 at 11 a.m. CT and hit the road to take on the Charlotte Eagles at UNC Charlotte on Friday, April 25 at 6 p.m. CT.
The Fire return to MLS action when they host the 2013 MLS Cup finalists Real Salt Lake on Saturday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m. CT (My50/TWCSC Wisconsin/La Ley). Tickets for the match are available via Ticketmaster or www.Chicago-Fire.com
