CHICAGO(Sunday, May 18, 2014) – The Chicago Fire (2-2-6, 12 points) defeated Sporting Kansas City (5-4-2, 17 points) 2-1 Sunday afternoon at Toyota Park. Mike Magee converted consecutive penalty kicks in the 7th and 15th minutes before Dom Dwyer pulled one back for the defending MLS Cup Champions in the 68th minute but the Fire were able to hold off for the second consecutive win.
Next up the Fire hit the road to take on Columbus Crew at Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday, May 24 at 6:30 p.m. CT (My50/TWCSC Wisconsin/La Ley 107.9 FM). The Fire return home to welcome the LA Galaxy, presented by Quaker, on Sunday, June 1 at 3 p.m. CT (My50/TWCSC Wisconsin/La Ley 107.9).
