BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (May 24, 2018) – The Chicago Fire begin their 2018 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup campaign when they enter the storied tournament in the fourth round against Columbus Crew SC at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, Ohio on Wednesday, June 6 at 6 p.m. CT.
The Fire a 6-0-0 all-time against Crew SC in U.S. Open Cup play, most recently defeating them 2-1 in a fifth-round matchup at Toyota Park in 2016.
In addition to its four trophies raised in the historic tournament in 1998, 2000, 2003 and 2006, the Fire have appeared in 12 tournament semifinals, including five in the last seven years. The Fire own an all-time U.S. Open Cup record of 42-14-6.
