U-15 AcademyÂ
The U-15’s got it done once again! Led by goals from Aaron Ineh and Emir Herrera, the Fire defeated FC Cincinnati 2-1 to extend their undefeated streak to ten games. With the victory, and a perfect 7-0-0 record in MLS NEXT play, the U-15’s jumped over the Columbus Crew to claim the top spot in the Mid-America Division. Currently 9-0-1 on the season, the U-15 roster is one of the most exciting teams to watch in all of MLS NEXT.Â
They’ll look to make it 11-straight this Sunday, Nov. 20 when they host St. Louis CITY SC at the SeatGeek Stadium turf pitches. Kickoff is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. CT.Â
U-17 Academy
In the second and final match of the weekend, the U-17’s fell to FC Cincinnati 6-1 to round out the weekend. Scoring the lone goal for the Fire was Michael Ramirez, who continues to be a steady contributor on the scoresheet for the oldest members of the Chicago Fire Academy. With the loss, the U-17’s find themselves in fifth place in MLS NEXT play with 14 points on the season.
Ramirez and the U-17's look to rebound this Sunday, Nov. 20 against a St. Louis CITY SC that sits just above them in the standings. Although they have identical records, St. Louis holds the tiebreaker due to their goals against average. Kickoff is set for 12:00 p.m. CT at SeatGeek Stadium.
