Coming out of a 1-1 draw with Qatar on Friday, Chicago Fire captain Francisco Calvo and Costa Rica were back at it on Monday afternoon in an international friendly against Euskadi (Basque Country).
At the Estadio Municipal de Ipurúa in Eibar, Spain, Calvo got his second straight start for Los Ticos in what became a 2-1 defeat for the visitors. Ike Muniain scored the opener in the 12th minute, before Costa Rica's Jonathan Moya equalized in the 70th. Euskadi grabbed a late winner through Unai Nuñez in the third minute of stoppage time to propel the hosts to victory.
The appearance was the 52nd of Calvo's career with Costa Rica. Los Ticos do not have any upcoming matches scheduled at this time.
