News broke late Sunday evening that Chicago Fire midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger and wife Ana Ivanovic had at last welcomed their first son into the world, both announcing the new addition to their family publicly via their social media channels.
Following the announcement, the couple were met with an outpouring of support from around the world as they begin their journey into parenthood.
Schweinsteiger was absent from the Fire's Saturday match at Minnesota United FC due to the imminent arrival of the couple's first child.
