CHICAGO, IL (March 3, 2012)Due to severe thunderstorms in the greater Charleston area throughout the day Saturday, the Chicago Fire and Charleston Battery mutually decided to cancel the final match of the Carolina Challenge Cup, set to be played at 7:15 p.m. ET. The match will not be rescheduled.
The Fire return to Chicago Sunday morning and resume training at Toyota Park Tuesday, March 6 at 10:30 a.m. CT. The Men in Red will host their final tune-up for the team’s 15th Major League Soccer campaign against Minnesota Stars FC on Friday March 9 at the Toyota Park Turf Field at 10:00 a.m. CT. The Men in Red kickoff the 2012 MLS regular season against Montreal Impact at Stade Olympic on Saturday, March 17 at 1:00 p.m. CT.
