The Chicago Fire begin their foray into the inaugural Leagues Cup tournament with a home encounter from Liga MX side Cruz Azul. Catch kickoff from SeatGeek Stadium at 7:30 p.m. CT, and get ready for a continental clash with tonight's starting XI and bench, presented by AT&T.
- Rookie defender Andre Reynolds II will get his first professional appearance and start after signing with the Fire as a Homegrown product in January.
- Forward Nemanja NikoliÄ captains the side tonight in lieu of midfielder Dax McCarty, who is available off the bench.
- Goalkeeper Richard SĂĄnchez will get his first start and appearance for the Fire in 2019.
- Forward Amando Moreno will start for the first time for the Fire, having appeared five times for the Fire in regular season play since his arrival in the offseason.
- Defender Jeremiah Gutjahrstarts for the first time since April 24th at New York City FC.
- NikoliÄ, and midfielders PrzemysĆaw Frankowski, Fabian Herbers, and Brandt Bronico are the only holdovers in the starting lineup from the Fires 2-0 road defeat at the Philadelphia Union on Saturday night.
